Yes!  Our background includes a long history of helping nonprofits!  We will make you a website for free.  You simply have to pay for the hosting.

We have to pay for the website hosting?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  Basically, every website on the Internet needs to be hosted somewhere.  Since we partner with Wix & Techsoup, your hosting coast can be as little as $17 a year for the first two years.  After two years, expect it to be around $250 annually.  Other than that, we will make the website entirely for free, giving you our valuable time and experience.

Question 3

AHAH!  So, this is a scheme to make money off of charities paying these hosting fees, right?

No.  The hosting cost comes from the Wix platform.  TechSoup allows the discounted charge to be present.  We make $0 from the hosting... nothing, nada, zilch.

What kind of website can we expect?

One that looks awesome!  Our firm, AllFantastic.com, (AllFantastic.com,)is going to craft a customized website for your organization.  It will operate seamlessly/work well on all devices, including mobile.

How does this work?

Fill out the Get Started form on our site (https://www.freenonprofitwebsites.org/start)and then we will contact you.  We will have a consultative meeting with you to understand your organization, the mission, your goals and more.  Here are the process guidelines we will travel along for creating the website in order to have a great experience:

• Contract provided (then signed and returned)
 • Content to be provided by you where possible (logo, text, images, video, etc.)
 • Homepage draft(s) created 
 • Homepage approval by you
 • Page buildouts (all other pages)
 • Page by page approval
 • Smoothing and polish
 • Semi-final approval
 • Last tweaks
 • Final approval
 • Soft-launch (site made mobile-friendly, SEO and other back-end elements handled)
 • Live testing (links, forms, etc.)
 • Hard-launch (you announce the site to your entire community - a customized launch announcement, which includes a shout-out for us, is provided gratis)

Please remember;  this is a process.  We will work together on it and appropriate communication is essential, with email being the best way to contact us.

What platform is the website built on?

Wix.  We are Wix experts, as they call us, having used that platform for over a decade.  Both the site you are on right now and our firm's site at AllFantastic.com (AllFantastic.com)are built on Wix.  Plus, I've built about 100 other sites on that platform. Wix was founded in 2006.  As a public company (listed on the NASDAQ), it now has offices in a dozen countries, with around 5,000 employees and over 200 million users.

What if we already have a website, but just need some tweaks or a modern redesign?

We can certainly do those, but we'll need to move the site to Wix (unless it is there already).  I will also give you a free Wix tutorial.

Question 9

What if we need to update, change and/or add to the site after it is launched?

Accepted Answer

I will provide you with a free tutorial on Wix.  It will allow you to do things like update wording, change images and more.  If you have something else that is needed and very quick, which you can't handle, I can likely pop into the site to get it done for you.

Question 10

Will the site have SEO, social media, etc.?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  We don't make sites without some level of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) built in.  SEO can become a very complex topic (and one which we can elaborate on in great depth!), but just know that we add in "basic" SEO to your site.

When it comes to social media, we can connect your pages to the site, add a feed, etc.

Plus, we'll put in some other bells & whistles.

How about online marketing - what if we need that stuff?

We are happy to have a free consultation with you regarding online marketing (SEO, social media, advertising, strategic partnerships. etc.).  Please just ask us.  :^)

What is not included?

Accepted Answer

Well, we're not going to make some kind of a gigantic site for your organization - this is a free project, after all.  There will be no ecommerce (it can be added afterward), no specific coding, no paying for third-party app upgrades, etc.  That said, we will treat you like we treat our paying clients!

What if we need a large website or we are not a non-profit organization?

Our core firm, All Fantastic,(https://www.allfantastic.com/) can make just about any size site.  But, we cannot do a large site within the scope of "free".  That said, we'll try and work with you as best as possible in general on any project - this goes for both charities and for-profit businesses.  Let's talk. Do we own the site?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the site is owned by you/your organization.  Once the site is completed we will transfer it over to you and I will simply become a "Contributor".  You become the Owner.

How long will the process take?

It depends on various factors, but about one month is a good estimate.  (I might be able to do it quicker if there is some deadline you are working on.)  Of course, getting any needed content from you quickly is important to the timeline.

We just have some questions and/or need some free consulting about online marketing, etc. - is that okay?

Do you work with all nonprofit charities?

Almost.  We try to stay away from overtly religious projects and stuff that is super controversial.  If you are unsure whether or not we can work together please just ask us!
